The “Family Friendly” playlist is great for any family function really. When thinking of this playlist I thought of this appealing to all ages. I thought of different scenarios if you are with your in laws and they enjoy the music of their time, but also make it clean for the possibility of children being around.

In this day and age most older members of society do not enjoy how today’s music is so explicit and how it can contain lots of vulgar language and inappropriate content. Keeping this in mind I was able to find artists that either didn’t have very many explicit words or the clean versions of some iconic songs in R&B. 

John Legend, Fantasia and Jill Scott are just some of the many artists I included in this playlist. I feel as though if I were to play any of the music provided on a road trip with my family, my parents would be proud. I can already hear my mother saying “How do you know this song?”. And typically I’ve heard these songs through listening to them throughout childhood. On the car rides to school when I didn’t get the privilege to change the station on the radio I always listened to old school R&B. Shout out to my parents for teaching me the wonders of R&B and the greatness in black artists.
