Hello there, I am back at it again with another top 3. I should make this a theme, hmm maybe I will. Yet again, we need to discuss a brief disclaimer about how this is MY top 3, using MY own opinion. Anyway back to your regularly scheduled program; here are my top 3 male R&B groups, in no particular order:
Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men formed in 1988 by its founding members, Nathan Morris and Marc Nelson, when they were in high school. The group expanded with its new members, Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Much of their style, sound and even group name came from the inspiration of the group, New Edition. Boyz II Men made multiple hit singles, albums and have been nominated for many different awards. Today they are considered one of the most successful R&B groups of all time.
Blackstreet

Blackstreet was created in 1994 by artist Teddy Riley, along with its members, Chauncey “Black” Hannibal, Levi Little and Joe Stonestreet. They created and released their debut album, “Before I Let You Go”, in 1994. Blackstreet created many hit singles along with many collaborations including artists like Dr. Dre in the single “No Diggity. By the early 2000’s many members decided to pursue their own solo careers.
New Edition

New Edition was and still is one of the best male R&B groups of our time. You may have heard their music without even realizing that it is their music. Half the time when I listen to songs I enjoy and I realize who sings it I am shocked. The group started in 1978 with some elementary school boys and finalized its official members, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, and Ronnie DeVoe. A lot of their music and style was inspired by the Jackson 5. Their first single “Candy Girl” became a great hit in R&B, along with their debut album also named, “Candy Girl”. As the years of being in a popular R&B group flew by many members decided to pursue a solo career, which lead to many changes within the group and thus leading to the end of New Edition
All in all, a majority if not all of the male R&B groups mentioned, at some point disbanded. Years later a lot of the groups have come together again to do come back tours and even brand new songs.
