Top 3 Male 00’s R&B Artists

Photo labeled for reuse.

Yes, it is another Top 3! Are just as excited as me? Well, I sure hope so because we have entered the early 2000’s. Early 2000’s music, for me, is anything from 2000- 2009. The nine years of R&B music evolved from the 90’s, yet you can tell artists were influenced from the artists in the 90’s. I feel as though the music of the time period still involved some type of love interest, as most R&B songs do, but has bit more base and beat behind the music. Okay, enough of me rambling on, here are my top 3 male R&B artists of the early 2000’s (in no particular order).

Tyrese

Tyrese in the early 2000’s was known for his love making voice and smooth tone to his voice. Many people say that many babies were made to his music. He made hits like How You Gonna Act Like That and many more. If you haven’t heard of any of his music you may have seen him in the film franchises, Transformers and Fast and Furious. While his career in the music industry grew tremendously he decided to pursue a career in acting and he has succeeded in it ever since.

Ray J

Another influential male artist in the early 2000’sis Ray J. You may know him for his music or his sister Brandy (also a R&B singer) or even his appearance in the reality TV show, Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. If you haven’t heard of him from any of the examples indicated you may have heard of his famous songs, One Wish and Sexy Can I. And if you haven’t heard any of those songs, where have you been? Since we are all pretty much in our homes 24/7 this is a perfect time to start listening to new music. You can thank me later.

Usher

Now I know I probably do not need to give any explanation as to why I chose Usher as my top 3, because he’s also my favorite male R&B artist if you haven’t seen that blog post yet, it really explains it all. Overall Usher is a basic staple for R&B music. He has been around since the late 90’s, but I feel as though he hit his peak in the early 2000’s. Some of his hits in the 2000’s were You Got It Bad, Confessions, Yeah!, and much more. Overall you need to add Usher to your music library, especially during this insane quarantine.

Stay Safe!
