Like Jill Scott and Erykah Badu the R&B community had to have needed to do a male versus battle. As many have seen, by now, there was a battle between Teddy Riley and Babyface. 

While this was an iconic moment for social media and music, it met with some technical difficulties and they had to cancel and reschedule the battle. There were multiple memes made and many jokes created to bring humor and light to this difficult situation. All in all, the memes and jokes made about Teddy Riley’s bad connection gave me so much entertainment to distract from my mounds of homework. 

Recently the two R&B legends were able to do a rematch and by that time there were more people than ever visiting because of the traffic the memes and jokes picked up. I am so shocked that Instagram is able to handle all of the traffic between the stories, lives, and pictures/videos being posted, etc.

Overall things like Instagram Live are bringing people together in a time of need. If it wasn’t for all of the wonderful technological advances we have had there would be live concerts from some of our favorite artists.
